
Congratulations to doctoral candidate and BioBuild Fellow Zach Gould for being named the 2021 Virginia Tech Interdisciplinary Doctoral Student of the Year! Zach has been involved in many exciting interdisciplinary projects during his time here at VT, but his work with mycorrhyzal networks as a model for hybrid solar microgrids and his contributions to the award-winning TreeHAUS Solar Decathlon Project in 2019 clinched him as the choice for this award. Let’s also not forget that Zach was part of VA Tech’s largest cohort of Fulbright Grant Recipients in the history of the university.
Farrokh Jazizadeh and his research team consisting of Tianzhi He, and Wooyoung Jung, will be presenting on a very interesting topic this Friday. Dr. Farrokh is Director of VA Tech's INFORM Lab and he is an assistant professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering.
